I've had mine for about a week, during which it has rained pretty heavily, and I can attest that it is essentially waterproof. Water mostly beads up on it, but there were a few areas that seemed to have absorbed some of the rain, Still, everything remained dry beneath, so that's close enough to waterproof for me. It is made of a polypropylene material that feels a little like paper, and is about as thin. The material is VERY lightweight, and the only things I can say against it are: 1) when stuffed into its holding bag it measures about 9"x9"x12", and 2) it cannot withstand the temperatures of the exhaust pipe. As for #1, it easily fits into my underseat storage, and I can even fit my shorty helmet in there with it because it can compress a lot more. Regarding #2, I did melt a hole in mine, but the elastic around the edge has remained intact, and the melted edges do not seem inclined to rip (as long as I don't pull on them.) Now, I don't wrap it around the tailpipe. Literally, once burned, twice shy! I don't know how long the material will hold up to S. Florida sun and rain, but it seems like it will make it for at least a year or two.As for the size, I have a Honda Metropolitan with a carrying basket on the rear. My bike has the following dimensions: 70" long, 26.4" wide, and 40.7" high. The scooter cover covers it easily with inches to spare in all directions. It is even shaped to accommodate a rear carrying basket or box. It takes me about 30 seconds to put it on or take it off. I only wish I hadn't melted part of it (don't make the same mistake!), but even with that it works great. If it starts to fray, I'm sure I will be able to patch it.Overall, I'm pretty happy with mine.Just unpacked cover. The descriptions from other reviews regarding fabric, size, elastic appear to be accurate. I was just about to throw the box away when I eyed what I thought was piece of paper on the bottom. Upon closer inspection one side was paper and the other side the same fabric as the cover. I began to separate the two layers and noted the backside of the fabric was sticky. This is a repair patch! Kudos for including this in the event I should accidentally burn a hole from placing cover on scooter with still hot exhaust, or to fix any other owner induced damage! ( Edit.... Just realized in bottom of storage bag is cord for grommets, another small patch, and a keyring! Nice!)It fits my Piaggio Fly 150 perfectly. I bought it primarily for protection against the blistering sun that we have here. I like that it is a rather light color to reflect heat. I honestly can't speak to how water-proof as I never use my scooter when there is any hint of foul weather in the forecast, so this isn't likely to ever be an issue. One small feature that I really like that was missing on the previous cover I had is a small tag that says "Front". Since these things are rather amorphous when you pull them out of the bag, this is actually really helpful. I used a different bungee from the one provided, which seemed a little funky. However, I rarely fasten the bungee anyway because the elastic seems to hold the cover in place just fine.I was nervous this would be too large for my little Vino Yamaha moped. It fits perfectly! Needed something to protect my moped from rain, I have an issue with water getting in my gas tank. A few flash floods later and it's doing great. Just be careful about melting it when putting it on right after a ride.Product is pretty adequate. It's worth the money. it is waterproof, it fits the bike nicely and the elastic feels pretty high-grade, so I feel like that will last a long time without stretching out. Overall I'm happy with it. I have a 50cc bike that's a few years old, still in nice shape, but I don't really need an expensive cover to protect it. This one does the trick. If you buy it you probably want to let your bike cool before putting it on. I'm not sure if it's heat resistant.Not able to rate on waterproof or durability because haven't tested it enough. Product was perfect fit and so far has been as seller stated. Satisfied with product.Great price fits great on my Honda Metropolitan will buy another keeps it dryI liked that it fits my vintage Puch moped like it was custom made for it.
